This project was done for a client seeking custom illustration work for their company's product's landing page. They wanted something that used simple line art to portray a workspace. Above all, they wanted the design to be something that didn't draw inspiration from design styles like Corporate Memphis, as they were not fond of that style of illustration work at all.
Initially when putting together the design, I wanted to challenge myself to create somethin that was something out of my comfort zone. The client initially wanted a design inspired by an office floor plan. So I started out by creating exactly that, a floor plan.
Above is the initial design I made after a round of feedback. I knew I wanted to make something in an isometric style, so I quickly drafted this together. Naturally there are some visible flaws in here, seeing as it's just a draft. Shared this with the client and they were happy with the concept but wanted me to clear up the flaws. So I set to work.
The version above is an exploration of what the space would look like without the grid and dark accents in the environment. In Illustrator, I had to create custom "furniture" that I could then drag and drop into the scene to create the visuals that I wanted.
Location, Location, Location...
Ultimately this is the final design that the client accepted! Definitely a fun challenge, thinking about 3D space in a 2D setting!
